Writing down 5 Daily Wins has been one of the strategies I myself have been using for the last ten years or so.

Not every day, I am not that perfect, but it’s something I get back to as the value gained is remarkable and the loss of not doing it is too impactful.

Whenever I have had more than a handful of days not doing this practice, my focus, performance, and energy start to crumble. Getting back to this simple practice always gets me back on track and being more present.

Daily Wins are things that made you feel energized, accomplished, filled you with joy, satisfaction, make you proud, centered or connected, gave you inner peace, you name it.

If you have a specific area in life you are fully focusing on to improve it, you can write Daily Wins only regarding that area. Or, if you want to overall create an increasingly better version of you and your experience of life, writing down Daily Wins more holistically in the areas of yourself, your relationships, and your business makes a difference in your progress and how you feel about it.

What Daily wins is not, however, just your “To-Do” list converted to a “Ta-Da” list, a list of things you got done during the day.

Your Daily Wins are things that triggered your most motivating emotions, even if it was for a split second. A Daily Win could be a sincere “Thank you” given with a smile from a complete stranger, or successful completion of a project you had been working on for months.

The magic in this practice comes from the fact that you are paying attention to where, when, and how you felt good and made progress – whether or not it was what you had planned. 

Writing down your Daily Wins reinforces your confidence. It also protects your confidence.

You will start to notice that you have a more positive outlook, you are more optimistic. You start to realize that you are more resilient in creating your future, working on achieving your goals.

To do this exercise, you only need a notebook and a pen (my favorite tools). There are also several apps for recording your daily wins if you prefer digital means.
